I’d like to think the promise of a pint of John o’ Groats ale at the finishing line is what drove the team of fine people from BMW on to smash the record for driving an electric car from one end of the UK to the other in the fastest time possible. The cars were certainly impressive and the weary drivers and passengers enjoyed their well deserved refreshment as they sailed smoothly and quietly into Groats.
Certainly opened my eyes to the spread of electrical power points across the UK which has enabled this record to be successfully undertaken; now I just have to work out how to connect the brewery up to one.
